Out of all the tools in your "life toolbox", your confidence should be at the tip-top of the bag. I used to be that person that wanted to participate and ask questions..at the end of the party I really wanted those last few hot wings and when asked aloud I wouldn't say anything. I learned the hard way that closed mouths don't get fed and I learned that confidently inserting myself in a situation is far better off than being quiet, shy and timid. I still get nervous whether I'm performing in a play, hosting an event or singing but it takes major confidence to even do these things. Stand up for what is yours, stand up for what you love.
