#18+rating

Most of my friends parents take the age ratings on films pretty seriously... my Dad on the other hand.. he sees them as guidelines and will work in an order when he believes I'm alright for the film... I decided to make a list of the 18's I've seen.. there were quite a few.. 19 that I could see..

The fact that The Wold of Wall Street is an 18 really pisses me off because I really want to see that movie.

Fandom: Supernatural

Pairing: Sam/Dean

Summary: That he wants to think this is Dean yanking a leash should make his blood run cold, not aching hot. It should make him sick, angry, it should get his fucking hackles up and make him fight.

He does want to fight. But there’s a skin-thin line between primal things, and fighting isn’t all he wants to do.

Review: I dont have the words for how much I love this fic. The way the style changes as it goes on, reflecting Sam's slow return to sanity. This is one of the best traumatised Sam's I've read, even without the hallucinations, disjointed and angry and desperate to regain normality.

The romance is a lovely slow burn, and the sex when it comes is scorching hot.

Review: This is fabulous. Well-written, sexy, involving and generally everything you want from a novel!length. It will take several hours of your life to read it, but it is 100% worth it. It doesn't matter if this is your fandom (it isn't mine). Read as a piece of original writing if you don't know who these guys are. But for the gods' sake, read it!

Rec: Not Quite Mutual, Not Always Gratifying (Except Sometimes) by Steals_Thyme

Review: Angst. So much angst. Me that is. The characters in the fic take things surprisingly well, but I may never stop weeping inside. Thinky smutty Holmescest with John there to make up the numbers and wishing someone loved him. I'm going to go away and cry now.

Rec: Dragonriding for Beginners by Pushdragon

Fandom: Harry Potter

Summary: This is actually the fourth in a series but IMHO this is by far the best, and it's not like there's deep plot. It's a PWP people. Harry giving Draco a right seeing too. That's pretty much it.

Review: I wouldn't usually rec a vanilla PWP, but this is straight up vanilla sex written with such salacious attention to detail that it sounds like the dirtiest thing in the world.

Rec: Impure Genius by marysutherland

Fandom: Sherlock (BBC)

Pairing: Sherlock/John

Summary: Sherlock has been doing so well, everyone believes he's a genius but then one tiny mistake brings his world crashing down around his ears. Sherlock falls apart utterly and John puts him back to together with more skill and gentleness than anyone knew he possessed.

Review: Alright, I admit it. I do like Sherlock broken. But while this fic breaks Sherlock as effectively as I've ever seen it done, it also puts him back to together with the help of doughnuts and the Military. Yes really.

This is a lovely fic, one which explores a mental breakdown without judgement or attempted diagnosis. Hurt/Comfort at it's very purest. Do be warned, this fic has potential triggers.
