Automaton doll possibly made by an unknown patient at Bedlam/ London’s Bethlem Royal Hospital, 1800s.
🦪 ... 4) sender brings receiver a bouquet of flowers (sadly adam doesn't know any flower names/how to do arrangements, but he knows these particular blooms made him think of hara) ... creature/adam, @godresembled
❛ I was thinking of you and here you are. ❜
Her mind had been avoiding sleep on that fact. It was the lingering sensation left in her hand by taking his that had done it. Any child in French court grow up on a dining board of folklore to entertain, advise, and warn. A collection of them places creatures in the woods. He is not human but that doesn't make him a creature ... if anything maybe the creature is She. She half feels like she's summoned him. And it makes no difference if she had or not, if someone catches him here they'll think she did regardless.
She looks at the arrangement and knows the path he collected them on ... she's walked it before. White jasmine and elderflower into an arrangement of pinks various in shades of spray roses and pansies ⸺ that bleed a dribble of blue at the center almost a mirror-color of the her veins.
She bridges the small gap between them by plucking a rose petal. The velvet touch goes from her fingertips to her tongue as she gives it a taste. She knows by her own curiosity that everything he's brought her is edible ... and appeals to her appetite. And leans against the stone archway of the cordior they linger in. Its then she takes the entire bouquet.
❛ Merci mille fois. I love them. ❜

He'd bet she looks like her mother with the feather-bed of her brow as she talks, her pettie gem nose, and that doll-dewy-eyed look — she looks like the epitome of innocence and Laruie ought to leave her be. He's too much of a hound-puppy to be ruining her by account of his own mouth.
❛ Clearly New York has enchanted you. Why so? ❜
He hands off a cystral glass to her first. Gentlemen-like.
The subject and his skeleton!
