I love having thousands of neg sheets to re-explore. (Stuff I shot before digital scanning. I scan everything new now) I get to find a never printed image like this one.
Watching the bread-in hunting instincts that took hundreds of years of selection is always interesting. For me, winter is best cause you get to photograph these living sculptures with long shadows, and much less underbrush. Getting to use mostly longer lenses only helps. I'd try to choose walks where you'd be looking into the setting sun for at least half of our time in the woods.
Miss these two every day. Nikon 8008, 180mm. Kodak TMAX 400. NIK Silver Efex Pro.
