i think the reason why landoscar is so attractive and popular is because in contrast to all the other ships (lestappen, galex, gabico, carlando, brocedes to name a few) they actually don't touch all that much or say that many questionable things about each other, it's all about the LOOKS and the distant yearning and the drawn-out mutual pining, the hints from everyone else, the whole 'everyone sees it but them', the slowburn of it all that makes people see what's underneath the surface of the professional, casual, neutral, normal friendship/acquaintanceship they have, in today's essay I will

i think that the best landoscar dynamic is just an absolutely insufferable lando desperate for a bit of oscussy. like broke bf hugging him all the time, doing that annoying flirting were he just fucks with oscar’s stuff, being a nuisance until oscar finally lets him hit. the crucial part about this dynamic is that lando is good in bed, maybe he’s got a monster down there idk, and oscar is basically having to tell all his friends “okay i know he’s pretty irritating to be around but trust me on this.”

second part of this is oscar torturing himself with the knowledge he wants that stupid idiot to rail him into the mattress. even after watching lando pull a babe watch this! move when throwing a ball and missing the goal so badly it hits an intern in the face.

The kiss was desperate, hungry, as if the trophy meant nothing compared to the fire burning between their mouths. Oscar’s hands dug into his back, dragging at the damp fireproof until his fingertips grazed hot, trembling skin.

“My winner…” he breathed, the words spilling out between gasps, his voice breaking with the weight of it.

Lando gave a low, breathless laugh and pressed their foreheads together, eyes dark with adrenaline.

“Only yours,” he whispered, before claiming his mouth again—rougher this time, as if the victory itself was caught between their lips.

The world outside roared on without them. In here, it was just the two of them, drowning in the taste of triumph and each other.
