18216 I found a band recently that has been around for 15 years and they sing Melodic Death Metal AND are lead by a woman! The band is 6th Awakening and their lead singer, Luisa Vilevik, reminds me of Angela Gossow honestly. Her latest look resembles Angela and her growl range and sound are similar too. Also these two started with the band they’re most known for at the same time. I don’t think Luisa is necessarily trying to copy Angela but she does have similarities and anyone else who is looking for other female lead death metal bands like I’ve been may want to check her out. My favorite so far as been their newest single “Hålot” (which I cannot find a translation for that name to save my life but the song is in English as far as I can tell) Really cool lesser known band.
