I had an absolutely wild dream last night that I'm trying to piece back together because I think it could make a good sci-fi short story. There were a lot of elements, but one was the entire 1899 cast of characters being stuck in one of the tiled shafts all together and freaking out. At a certain point in the shaft/tunnel the tiles were painted white and that was significant for some reason. Also, Daniel was wearing a floppy hipster hat (I guess my brain decided to inject a bit of humor into an otherwise very dark dream scenario).
