Charlie Sarsfield, director of the Silver Tongues music video, commented on this reaction from a video editor.
The text:
Hey brother, (the director here 😅)
Thanks for reacting to my video. YouTube just served me up a slice of humble pie 🤣
The lighting was intentional, the idea that are memories are hazy, some bits we remember almost too well, and others fade into the background.
All the interior shots were actually set builds that we built in a studio on the site, the pub was the only set that existed.
In terms of your distaste for the blurry shutter, I can appreciate that, but I love it, and as film makers if we’re not allowed to have some fun what’s the point…. It also was there to reference hazy memories.
The shot at the end is to signify we’re all stronger together, growing up is hard and normally it’s our friends that help to guide us through it all.
I could carry on but it would turn into and essay, and no one wants that.
Glad you enjoyed it, and you’ve got a new subscriber ❤️🫡
Thanks to @dearly for her post.
