This 1965 Chevelle Z16 is 1 of just 201 built by GM. Originally sold new at Capitol Chevrolet in Montgomery, AL, it spent years being raced, shown, and passed through seven owners before being restored to showroom perfection.

A decade of research, tracking every owner, and even recovering the original engine block made this restoration possible. With help from historian Zannie Murphy and even the original Capitol Chevrolet salesman, the puzzle came together.

👊 Owner: Dave Lambert ...Built alongside his brother Dan—his best friend—we brought this Z16 back to life. After showing it at MCACN in 2015, it now returns complete with its original matching-numbers block. A dream fulfilled, one more time at MCACN.
