Why Straighten Curly Hair Set In 1980s?

When film/ television makers cast actors with naturally curly hair.

Then set their film or tv show in the 1980s.

Then have their actors straighten their hair.

Why are you making your actors straighten their hair.

Realistically their natural hair will make the film/ television show more time period actuate

Curly hair was on the rage in the 80s.

It will be less work for the hair stylists and actors.

Also, their hair will less likely to get bigger, puffier and frizzier throughout filming.

(P.S I know hairstylists have creative control and work with the director/film maker. But, the director does have finally say.)

As a curly hair person it is a lot easier and a lot less painful to put detangling spray and anti frizz spray in your hair than it is to brush and straighten your hair.

The number one rule about curly hair is you don’t brush it when it is dry and if you do you use detangling spray otherwise it is going to be extremely painful to brush when dry and hair ends up looking you just walk out of a toronto. You only brush it when it wet.
