Sacrifice is the 12th studio album by the band Motörhead, released on 27 March 1995, on Steamhammer (a subsidiary of SPV GmbH) their first for the label. It was also the start of the distribution collaboration with CMC International in North America and certain territories. It is the second, and last, album to feature the four-man lineup of Lemmy, Phil “Zööm” Campbell, Würzel, and Mikkey Dee, as Würzel left the band after the recording of this album.
MOTÖRHEAD - Sacrifice / Lovin’ The Old Shit (L.T.O.S.) - Previously Unreleased Interview with Lemmy Kilmister and Mikkey Dee from 1995 Sacrifice (1995) Steamhammer Records England
“SACRIFICE”
Why do they not believe I have not lied, even for this, Now no-one can conceive The lie becomes the loving kiss, But I would not, Fall in love, Like this. The woman stiches the shrouds, The children murder all the world, If only you believe, Then only you will die, How can you not, See the stars, In your eyes. Sacrifice, sacrifice, sacrifice, sacrifice, Sacrifice, pay the price, blood like ice, sacrifice. The pain is on you now, Do not consider flight for gain, In you the poison breeds, Crawling with the mark of Cain, And no-one shall, Set you free, Again. Sacrifice, sacrifice, sacrifice, sacrifice, Sacrifice, sacrifice, sacrifice, sacrifice.

and I wanna be in the future known as somebody... you know, I want people to be talking about me like you know, 'look remember when he was real bad? remember when Tupac was real bad?' you know? they do that about a lot of actors now. like John Travolta, 'remember you were wild?' and all these other people. and now it's like they're sweethearts. we all should get that chance. I just want my chance

Daft Punk 1995 interview. Grote helden. De personificatie van de toekomst waar Jim Morrison over sprak.
At 11:58 last night, I had my PJ's on and crawled into bed with the lights off. Not tired, I ended up going on my comp and YouTubing "Royal Wedding." Two or three videos later, I found this 1995 interview of Princess Diana. It was impossible NOT to end up watching all 6 parts. The interview takes place post-divorce and Diana lays it all out: depression, adultery, her children, bulimia, loneliness, monarchy and an overwhelming sense of duty. There are some real tear-jerker moments and I was struck by Diana's genuine chronic despair. She was also incredibly articulate which makes this interview worth watching in its entirety and with a hanky on hand.
Needless to say, I got to bed around 1:30. The best laid plans....
