50 years ago today, John and Yoko, accompanied by Neil Aspinall and an army of police officers, appear at Marylebone Magistrates' Court, London, to hear charges against them for drug possession on the 19th October 1968. They had been arrested by the notorious Sgt Norman Pilcher the previous day. Although the hearing only lasted five minutes, John and a pregnant Yoko were swarmed by reporters, photographers and onlookers. A photo taken here by a Daily Mirror photographer was used for the back cover of Unfinished Music No 2: Life With The Lions.
