#louisewilson was a legend. I have never met anyone like her, or Come across anyone like her since. She taught me how to sketch out my ideas until I exhausted all possible options. she taught me how to edit, then put together a portfolio. She taught me that everything I put into a line up, had to have some kind of point of view....a concept, it had to make sense. If it didn't- remove. She believed in me before I believed in myself. She pushed me to further myself. She called my mobile at 2am once to check that I was still up sewing my final collection! Even before that, she locked me in the studio for 1 hour and tore my portfolio to bits, before putting it back together again, and Dammmmn it looked good!
