ke70 with a goddam v12 1gz. it would be a difficult conversion to do, mostly in order to make the sump clear the steering rack and the fire wall would need to be massaged in order to make it fit far enough back. i reckon i could ask the guys at KE conversions to build me a cross member and engine mounts.
300hp+ in a 900kg car, which could be made to have a whole lot more power with a decent set of extractors and a properly tuned intake. the only thing i would want to change is the gearbox, which is an auto, to run an R154 or a tremec T56.
i love this plan more than any other idea ive had before now, it would be such a cool build and be so much fun. front suspension and the entire front chassi would need some serious strengthening to handle the extra weight. lots of bracing, coilovers, and a proper rear diff.
engine can be bought complete for 3k, rear diff and prop shaft for 1k, coilovers for 2k [or more], conversion package for another 1k, and all the extra chassis work for another $500. the car itself would have to pretty clean and pretty factory looking for it to work how i envisage, so thats about 4k there... expensive, but potentially worth it...
