Mattie: Matt is a bit of an insomniac and often works late nights and early mornings so he tends to sleep on the outside of the bed for convenience. Alfie being the big baby that he is tends to sleep in the middle so he can get more cuddles, but otherwise we do try to switch it up every now and then. Matt cuddles do need to be shared (he is the best cuddler.)
I actually killed myself making this i am so tired omg im sorry this didnt come out last week like it was supposed to I was just pretty ill! There are a couple of panels missing where matt comes home and find the tv playing and the 3 boys asleep, along with a note saying “Alfie needs some big teddy bear cuddles xx” so he snuggles up to his favourite little chub. Either way Alfie had pleasant dreams after getting his Matt cuddles, and Matt called in sick the next day to spend some quality time with the boys.

ok so um that last post inspired me and i dont have anywehre else to put this
au in which Matthew is apprenticing as a florist (under shop owner Mr. Kirkland ofc), meanwhile next door Matt and Al co-own a body mod parlour they started up themselves (Matt does tattoos and Al does piercings).
and then Alfred works at the gym across the street as a very enthusiastic fitness instructor
and maybe down on the corner there's a quaint little French cafe run by Francis
Alfred is also hard at work on a kinesiology degree from the local university, but he's only doing classes part time & online where possible so he can focus on his job.
Matthew & Alfred are about 20, Al and Matt are like 22/23 respectively, Francis and Arthur are approaching their 30s.
Matt and Al live in the second story of their shop, Matthew lives a ways away and he has to take the bus to work all the time. Alfred lives a little closer but he still has to bus to work (when the weathers bad and he can't jog), and wouldn't u know it, its the same bus as Matthew! Arthur and Francis both live in a rather posh neighbourhood not too far away from each other and theyre always competing in really petty ways (ie. who can come up with the more insightful comment in book club or bring the better dish to the neighbourhood potluck. Francis can't hope to top Arthur's garden, but he makes up for it by keeping his house immaculately styled inside and out, and bringing the nicest dainties to book club)
Matt and Al have been begrudging bffs & occasional fuck buddies since high school. theyve never really labeled their relationship beyond that, which is getting a little complicated now that they live together... Matthew and Alfred knew each other when they were little but went to different high schools and lost touch. and then Arthur and Francis knew each other (and "knew" each other) from way back but refuse to acknowledge one another except for bitingly
one day Matthew grabs breakfast on his way to work and offers Arthur one of his scones and Arthurs like 'oh this is quite nice isn't it' and Matthews tells him he got it from the cafe down the street and Arthur just chOKES
Al can't figure out why the gym is so popular lately until one of his clients mentions there's a cute new trainer so Al goes to check it out and immediately enrols in an aerobic class when he sees Al
Matt keeps seeing Matthew walking around/at the cafe and he thinks hes really cute but sometimes he's carrying flowers so Matt figures he probably has a gf (:c) until one day he passes by the florist and sees Matthew behind the counter and is like OH.
Alfred keeps going to the cafe after work/during his breaks bc its soooo gooooooodd and he jokingly complains to Francis (who he doesnt even know really) that he's gonna get fat and so Francis is like 'hon hon hon well maybe next time we should go to your place ;)' and Alfred just assumes he means the gym so hes like 'hell ya dude!!' and before Francis knows whats happening he's been signed up for a gym membership????? which he mostly uses as an excuse to scope out cuties bc lbr he's not gonna let anyone see him get all sweaty and gross lol
AND YA then just. a bunch more romantic & platonic hijinks ensue. (fruk and 1p2pamecan are prob endgame but who knows what might happen before then) and everyone ends up happy by the end yaaaay
