“Cast all your anxieties upon him.” Not just the big ones, but also all those little things that you thought God would find insignificant. Allow Him to take care of you. Allow Him to be your Father. But when you ask, don’t waver. Have an expectant heart. Do your part, then let God surprise you. Sleep well and have a good night.
April 30--Precious Promises--Day 30
Today’s Promise: WORRY Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Philippians 4:6 (NLT)
Today’s Thought: The promise we receive when we don’t worry is peace. For Philippians 4:7 says: “Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.” When we worry we are miserable, unhappy, and stressed. We don’t eat right, nor sleep right and we often miss out on enjoying everyday life. Worrying doesn’t do us any good and it surely doesn’t bring glory to God so God tells us that if we give all our cares to Him, we will receive His peace and He will take care of what we need because He cares about us. Sounds like a good trade-off to me!
Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you. 1 Peter 5:7 (NLT)
Today’s Prayer: Dear God, I am so thankful that You care about me and that You promise to meet my needs and give me peace if I will just stop worrying and place my trust in You. So today I am going to let go of all my cares and give them to You God and then I am going to walk in the peace that You provide to me and bring glory to Your name! Thank You God! In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
