Then for an added touch there is a revolving sugar and fondant replica of George Washington squawking the melody to “New Romantics”

October 27, 2014...

I was lying on the couch sick when my mom came home from Target and handed me my deluxe copy of 1989. I had joked with my friends about ditching school to get the album. I think some actually thought I did but no I was actually sick. I lied on the couch and watched the iHeartRadio secret sessions. I hadn't even finished listening to the album yet. I finished after the secret session and then my life changed. 1989 was my therapy. My own little world I would escape to after school in my bedroom. I would listen to 1989 and dance and sing with my window wide open. I still do sometimes. :) I would listen to 1989 everyday because I felt "off" if I didn't. If I didn't have 1989, I wouldn't be who I am today. 1989 is the album that makes me feel free and powerful. When I hear Wildest Dreams or Shake it Off on the radio or when I listen to the album on my phone, I know I can do anything. Thank you @taylorswift. Thank you for the album that guided me out of the woods.

Happy Birthday 1989

Exactly one year ago my life changed forever. The album 1989 was released and I remember being so excited at school that day waiting to be picked up so I could finally listen to it. I got in the car and screamed when my dad handed me the bag with the CD in it. Opening it up I accidentally snapped the packaging because I was so excited but thank God everything else was in perfect condition. I had a volleyball game right after school so I had to wait a few hours before I could hear it. When I got home I got everything out; my CD player and the 1989 album. The cool thing is I have listened to every single Taylor Swift album on that CD player so of course I had to keep that tradition going ;) I pressed play and it started, Welcome to New York. I stayed in my room for an hour and listened to every song, dancing along and smiling a huge “I just won the lottery” smile. About 10 months later I was able to see that music performed right in front of me at the 1989 World Tour (best night ever). Thank you taylorswift for creating this masterpiece of an album and being the best role model and most talented person. We are all so so so so sooooo proud of you, 1989 is absolutely amazing.

Dear @taylorswift , I can't believe it has been one whole YEAR of 1989! This album has helped be a lot this past year and with things I couldn't solve alone! So, I am going to tell you song by song how each one helped me.
