I know I’m late to this but I only hatched the idea for the picture just a matter of seconds ago so here we go. It’s the 1 YEAR anniversary (at the time of posting a day away from Halloween, how “spookily” fitting) on 5 Seconds Of Summer’s sophomore album that only took 10 weeks to produce (not to brag the lads but that must be more than one head-crunching sessions to get such a feat done).
I still remember having my laptop out and noticed my iTunes finished downloading the full album in class on Friday the 23rd of October at 10am and rushed to get the album synced into my iPod. After class was over, I went to sit at a table and looked over the album and there I listened to Permanent Vacation studio version in all it’s form and had a sense of euphoria that exuded from the song lyric/formulation/progression and proceeded to finish the entire listening of SGFG in the train on my way back home.
And I was the person who was bummed out for the album did not have the sound of the first and using unorthodox instrument for a 5sos record and was fairly disappointed. But boy does 1 year make an entire difference.
This is considered a best album production albeit some songs are still not pleasing my taste (it’s Airplanes & Broken Home) and my ever favourite tune gem that always make me wanna jump till today (Fly Away) and the rest (that makes some of 5sos debut album offering seems childish when you take a good look at the lads now) and with follow up Girls Talk Boys. I can safely bet 5sos are gonna be making another sweet album and please make another Fly Away guys. Please.
