Good thing: After tedious amounts of ooo'ing and ahh'ing at the weather which each customer (like probably 40+ plus people clamoring about the snow outside), this 50ish year old lady came up to my counter and changed my mood completely. I asked how her day was, and she said, "GREAT! *starts to giggle* I just found out I'm going to be a Grandma!!!" Not that I'm a huge fan of babies or anything, but this woman was like a little kid wanting to brag about the awesome thing she did in school today. It made a long 9 hour day worth it. The weather in her world was 75 and sunny and for the minute she was standing in front of me, I could feel the sunshine too.

Bad thing(ish): I'm trying to expand my alcohol palette to red wine. I bought a bottle of gnarly head cab sauv and drank about half it tonight. A little more than the recommended daily glass. A little too much for someone who worked all day and ate nothing beforehand. A little too alcoholic for someone who might be using spirits etc to escape her problems in life.. Oops.
