The whole "have you never dyed your hair/ gotten a piercing and/or tattoo" poll has kind of a gross and judgmental vibe to it. The phrasing indicates that she thinks it's better to have not done those things. It was phrased in the negative instead of the positive. She didn't say, "Have you ever done these things?" It was "Have you never done these things?" The implication being that never having done these things is more desirable. Which to me either indicates that she's very young or secretly conservative. There's nothing wrong with any of those things. Dying your hair can be fun, as can getting tattoos and piercings. None of those things inherently play into the predatory beauty industry. Plenty of men do all that stuff, too. Sure, sometimes doing those things comes from a place of wanting to be attractive, but not always.

Just. Let people have fun with their body. I promise it won't ruin your radfem cred

I just wanted to know how many of us never did these things for any reason (money, time and energy for upkeep, health, some sport or hobby, where it would interfere, some culture, where you can't even get a job with a visible tattoo) and not how many of us never wanted to do these things🤷‍♀️
