Question 5 of 2-Part Stage Center Productions Interview

Part 2 of my interview (which was going to be done in 3 parts, but ended up in 2) with Stage Center Productions posted 2 week ago.  Part 1 was just Question 1.  Kinda' a tease.  I talked about my Latin music/entertainment site, LATIN-AMERICAN-AMERICAN. You can find the interview in its entirety here.  Last week I shared my answers to Questions 2 through 4.  They were about how I work and my creative process.  You can read my answer to the final question of the interview below.  It's about which of my project(s) I'm most excited about currenty.  I mention Cartwheel Group 3 Comics and the lyric video I edited for my brother, Panamatic. They also included links to all my sites at the end.  _____________________________________________ 5) What are you most excited about - today? [in terms of your work] I’ve been blogging for over five years. So, that’s kind of old hat. Before LATIN-AMERICAN-AMERICAN, I created the now defunct. but still live, popolio, which was a pop music site, in the broadest sense. What I’m most excited about is my online superhero comics site, Cartwheel Group 3 Comics. I’ve always wanted to write superhero comics. I can doodle characters, costume designs, and concepts, but I don’t draw well enough to draw out my own comics. Through the years, I’ve posted CraigsList ads and the whole bit, off-and-on. But, I’ve never been able to find collaborators to work with. So, I created this site to try to find artists to work with and make my dream come true. Any aspiring superhero comic artists out there? I also recently edited an Official Lyric Video for my brother who is a hip hop artist. I studied Radio-Television-Film at UT-Austin and wanted to direct music videos. That never materialized and I kind of got away from it and into other things. But, this kind of took me back to those academic filmmaking roots a little bit. His name is Panamatic and the song is called “Waiting For?” It samples Pat Benatar’s “Invincible” from the Legend of Billie Jean. We don’t normally work together, but it was just kind of a fluke how it all came together. It has a good message and it’s bumping. And, that song and movie happen to be among my favorites. It’s from his latest free mixtape, The Revamp of a Conscious Mind, with 23 tracks. It’s the only pop-infused song. The rest is straight up hip hop, just to let you hip hop heads out there know.
