I shouldn’t be terrified every time I walk into a classroom. I deserve the right to get an education without having the thought in the back of my head that at any moment someone could walk into my class and blow my brains out. Fuck your thoughts and prayers because they aren’t going to keep this from happening, gun control will. Fuck the whole “we don’t need gun control he was a tortured soul” bullshit. This was another event added to the long, LONG list of shootings that could’ve been avoided if the government would’ve done something sooner. So the day that I can walk into class and not be scared to learn is the day I will finally have just a little faith in my government and my country. So when people finally realize that this is an epidemic that can be stopped we can finally move forward. Not for ourselves but for the innocent people who lost their lives today, at Virginia Tech, at Sandy Hook, in Los Vegas, in Orlando etc. I’m begging you, please do something about this.
