“Sleeping Pills”
(2:08 AM) A glass window A projected film A shallow breath Me, who can’t sleep Cold water A sleeping pill
Washing through me
(2:40 AM) My sensitive heart reacts like a mucous membrane¹ The curtain of descending night Casts its shade------.
Finally I’m falling into a never-ending² dream, And it makes me dizzy, so I can’t see, but I’m taking you along The two of us within a field thick with black night-grass³
Even though it’s self-defense again⁴, It hurts, so I’m tired of the illusions My room, the spinning ceiling I kept staring------.⁵
Finally I’m falling into a never-ending dream, And it makes me dizzy, so I can’t see, but I’m taking you along The two of us within a field thick with black night-grass
(3:10AM) Finally I’m falling into a never-ending dream, And it makes me dizzy, so I can’t see, but I’m taking you along The dim moonlight The soft rustle of grass Like a wave, it’s gently Carrying you and me away------.
The two of us within a field thick with black night-grass.
