My two Romoss Powerbanks [PH80 Pro and PH80] -  Part 1

I’ve been using my two Romoss Power Banks for about 3 months and days since last year - Dec. 24th,2018 (Christmas Eve). And it seems pretty well impressed of my power banks.😊 I’ve been charging in my phones using my power bank(s) everyday and charging in after used until fully charged. So, look at the comparisons between the Sense 6+ Pro / PH80 Pro on the left and the “normal” Sense 6 / PH80 on the right - the Sense 6+ Pro is bit taller than the next one but with the same amount of 🔋 20000 mAh battery capacity 🔋.

• Also the two power buttons (as you see on the 3rd image) was completely different; The left one was teal color while the right one was a normal gray color matched.

•On the next 4th and 5th images are the back - in vertical mode and horizontal. The right one [Sense 6 / PH80] has a QR Code which I tried thrice using my smartphone - it opens a Romoss WeChat account but although it sends me to Google Play for installing a WeChat app as a requirement, but nah I guess I don’t need for that.

•And finally on the 6th image at the bottom, here you can see that the Romoss Sense 6+ Pro has more input and output ports than the Sense 6 which is two USB output ports and one micro b usb port as input charge. If you want to know more about the Romoss Sense 6+ Pro’s ports then please - CLICK ME!

My two Romoss Powerbanks [PH80 Pro and PH80] w/ Anker Powerport 2 and Powerlines - Part 3

Hi, I’m back for a PART 3 of reviewing my two Romoss Power Banks - Sense 6+ pro on the left and Sense 6 on the right. Now like I said before, I saved this part by draining out completely of both power banks into zero percent or in translates to four light indicators - a one light blinking. And since that, I’m gonna used my (2 year old) Anker Powerport 2 charger and 2 anker Powerline micro usb cables to see who’s fully charged first. So when I plugged in my powerport 2 charger w/ powerline cables on the electric socket to my two power banks It began by blinking on both sides and I started time on 12:35am.

Now after 12 hours, both of my power banks are now completely fully charged at around 12:54pm when I woke up. Not sure which of my power banks came first but nah, I missed it.

Nevertheless, both of them are good to say. Still finding my old CDR-King power banks though...

mAh vs Wh: What Power Bank Numbers Mean

ok so real talk, nobody actually understands power bank specs and marketing loves that confusion lol. you see 20000mAh and think wow that's huge, but actually you only get about 60-70% usable charge out of that because of conversion loss. so a 20000mAh bank is more like 13000-14000mAh in real life, enough for maybe 3 to 3.5 phone charges depending on your device. that "missing" chunk is not a defect, it's just how the electronics work in literally every power bank ever made. 

then there's Wh which nobody checks until they're stuck at airport security wondering why their power bank got flagged. DGCA rules are based on Wh not mAh, and anything above 100Wh needs approval while 160Wh+ is basically banned on flights. output wattage decides how fast your phone actually fills up, input wattage decides how fast the bank refills itself. if you shop smart and check GrunX store India for your next power bank, you'll notice they actually list output, input and cell type upfront instead of hiding it in fine print.

Your Power Bank Is Lying About Its Speed

okay real talk  when you bought your last power bank did you actually check the output wattage or did you just look at the mAh number and think bigger is better? because that is exactly how most power bank buyers in India end up with a 20000mAh brick that charges their phone at 10W when their phone supports 65W fast charging. here is the thing: mAh is just storage capacity. what actually determines how fast your phone charges is the output wattage. the real world capacity is only about 65 to 70 percent of the rated number anyway  so that 20000mAh is delivering roughly 13000 to 14000mAh of actual charge. and a power bank with no USB-C PD port is practically useless for iPhone 15, iPhone 16, or any MacBook user in 2026. if you want a power bank that actually keeps up with modern Indian smartphones, start by looking at fast charging accessories in India built around real wattage ratings, not just big mAh numbers. 

another thing nobody explains properly is fast charging protocols. your power bank, cable, and phone all need to support the same protocol for fast charging to actually kick in. USB Power Delivery is the standard for iPhones, iPads, and MacBooks. Qualcomm Quick Charge is for most Android flagships. VOOC and SUPERVOOC are OnePlus and Oppo proprietary standards. if your power bank supports QC 3.0 but your phone uses USB-C PD, you are getting standard 5W charging even if both devices claim fast charging support. the cable matters too a cheap cable that cannot negotiate higher voltage will kill your fast charging speed completely even with a perfect power bank and phone combination. this is why your 65W power bank sometimes charges your phone no faster than a basic wall adapter. 

when you go shopping for a power bank in India, the red flags to avoid are: no output wattage listed anywhere in the listing, fast charging claimed with only a USB-A port and no PD or QC specification, any price under Rs 500 for capacities above 5000mAh because those cells are almost certainly recycled, and no BIS certification mention anywhere. a good power bank deal in 2026 offers at least 18W output for fast phone charging and 30W or above input for self-charging speed. power bank deals under Rs 1500 for 10000mAh and under Rs 2500 for 20000mAh with proper fast charging are considered genuine value buys in the Indian market. browse the fast charging adaptors India collection at GrunX to find charger and power bank combinations that actually match your device's fast charging standard.
