Guard Army List????

So I have been pondering around with the Guard codex like I usually do, and I have finally got a 2000pts list that I think I like. But maybe it could go horribly wrong like my lists usually do :P HQ

Company Command Squad - 130

Commander Plasma Pistol, Power Weapon

Meltagun, medi-pack, Regimental Standard, Vox-caster

Storm Trooper Squad - 200

9 Storm Trooper, Sergeant with Power Weapon

Meltagun, Plasma Gun

Troops

Veteran Squad - 130

Grenadiers, 3x Meltagun

Veteran Squad - 130

Grenadiers, 3x Meltagun

Fast Attack

Vendetta Gunship - 130

Vendetta Gunship - 130

Scout Sentinel Squadron - 120

3x Scout Sentinel, 3x Autocannon

Heavy Support

Leman Russ Squadron - 340

2x Battle tank with Heavy Bolter Sponsons 

Leman Russ Squadron - 460

2x Executioner with Plasma Cannon Sponsons

Ordnance Battery - 

Griffon with Enclosed crew compartment

Basilisk with Enclosed crew compartment

Total - 2000pts

So that is the 2000pts and now to find out if it will work or not, any suggestions are always good too. Also I know that an infantry based Guard army works really well too with the huge 50 man Infantry Squad with a ton of Heavy Weapons Squads, but I just don't have enough models to field for that type of army.
