Organizational Questions

So before we go ahead and start floating ideas for the summer hiatus ship week, we thought it'd be good to get some input from all of you on how you think the first one went. Feel free to reblog with answers, drop us a line, or stick it in the tags :)

-what worked -what didn't work -what did you like about the concept/execution/format -what you didn't like about the concept/execution/format -did we pack too much into 7 days -did we not put enough into 7 days to merit the time -was everything organized in a way that made reviewing the material easy -would the participants benefit from smaller events rather than a whole week -did you find one type of submission easier to handle than another -overall was the experience enjoyable

Ward x Simmons Ship Week is Done!

At least officially. It's been seven days since we kicked things off, but we'll still be accepting things through Tuesday, March 4th (aka the day the show returns from Hiatus).

The response to Ship Week far exceeded what I thought we were going to get. We had a ton of amazing fics, as well as some great fan mixes, lovely graphics and a few pieces of fan poetry.

I want to thank everyone who submitted and everyone who read and commented and liked and reblogged. I really love how supportive our little corner of the fandom is, and everyone was extra fantastic this week (wow, I'm running out of adjectives).

We definitely want to do another Ship Week (or something similar and maybe a little less intense) over the summer hiatus. We'll be looking for input on that once the season starts back up again. We definitely want to make sure anything we plan works for the majority of people who want to participate.

Day Five!

We have now completed four (excellent) days of Ward x Simmons Ship Week. Everyone is producing great stuff, and it's been so much fun to read.

It's the weekend now, which might leave some of us with more time to write/draw/etc (or it might not, I don't really know all of your work/school/life schedules, I'm just trying and failing to come up with something unique to say), so I think this weekend will have some exciting things.

As we head in to the middle of the week

Just a reminder that anything goes in terms of submissions. Videos, fanart, graphics, poetry, meta, anything at all. We have a lot of really talented people on board, and lurking around. Don't be afraid to branch out, or to mess around a little.  be brave and have fun with this :)
