2015 Chrysler 200, less is more
When I think of Chrysler, I think of large, luxurious, smooth riding sedans with powerful engines under the hood that provide you with all the conveniences and safety you need….they still build those, but the 2015 Chrysler 200 is the new face of Chrysler with a slicker, smaller well designed compact sedan that is going to impress you from the get go! With simple elegance, and an exhilarating driving experience, and state-of-the-art, easy-to-use technology this 2015 Chrysler 200 delivers mid-size sedan customers luxury and quality, at a price point they want to pay.
Lets start with the smart new look of the Chrysler 200 which is clean, expressive and yet muscular body which embodies a strong, sculptured look, showcasing great lines and fluid surfaces, which highlight the coupe-like appearance. The grille and headlamps are integrated for the first time and the updated Chrysler badge has an emphasis on the wing, which is more defined. The 2015 Chrysler 200S model features gloss black trim and accent pieces rather than the standard bright trim, which gives it a sultrier look! On the inside the 2015 Chrysler 200 sedan provides the “wow” factor, with high-quality materials and lots of attention to detail, that make the interior, inviting and comfortable. Chrysler has always aimed at providing the consumer attention to detail that results in an emotional design impact, use of high-quality materials, great material execution, state-of-the-art technology the delivers a classic, American design that consumers appreciate.
Under the hood, all you would expect from a Chrysler! An impressive nine-speed automatic transmission and a powerful 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine with a best-in-class 295 horsepower that give you a spirited ride that brings the “fun” back into driving. An available, state-of-the-art all-wheel-drive system that includes a “sport”-driving driving mode, that delivers exceptional control and power in all driving conditions. Let me tell you why a nine-speed automatic transmission is such a big deal. Lets begin by improving your fuel economy to 36 mpg when powered by the 2.4-liter MultiAir®2 Tigershark I-4 engine. Plus the high-tech transmission dispenses power smoothly because the ratio steps between its gears are smaller than those of other transmissions. The new Tigershark 2.4-liter MultiAir2 four-cylinder engine produces 184 horsepower, 173 lb.-ft. of torque and delivers fuel economy improvements of 13 percent, horsepower improvements of 6 percent and torque improvements of 10 percent compared with the outgoing four-cylinder engine. A new “sport mode” in the 2015 200 provides a spirited driving experience by modulating steering, throttle and shifting inputs, electronic stability control, Adaptive Cruise Control Plus. Add to that the available all-wheel drive, you have a driving experience customers will look forward to. But this all-wheel-drive system, features an exceptional fully disconnecting rear axle that improves fuel economy by operating in front-wheel drive when all-wheel drive is not needed. The all-wheel-drive system features a one-speed power transfer unit (PTU) and uniquely disconnects and reconnects the rear axle – automatically and seamlessly – as needed and at any speed, which improves fuel economy by reducing parasitic loss when all-wheel drive is not needed.
The 2015 Chrysler 200 is providing the consumer with a flashy, sporty, fun to drive compact sedan that can give you all the power, safety and durability that you expect in a Chrysler product without the cost usually associated with a larger sedan. My 200 had a sticker price of $23,695 but you can certainly find them at your local dealership for a bit less and certainly for more depending on what “bells and whistles” you chose to include. I had fun reviewing the Chrysler 200 and found it to be just as impressive on the road is it looks sitting in your driveway!
