Why I was afraid of my 25th birthday
2014 was a year filled with baggage. My long term relationship with my first love ended because he was caught stealing my mothers jewelry.
My Grandfather died at 100, and before he did my mother and he weren't on the best terms.. Which I was angry about. -- still am a little.
I have yet to finish college (that I started in '08)
and my weight loss hasn't been going well because I stopped trying.
My birthday is January 5th. So, only 5 days into 2015 and I turn 25. A quarter of a century. I looked back on where I thought I would be, what I thought I would have achieved by now, and nothing. I'm not even remotely close to any of it. For lack of a better word I felt like a failure.
So, yesterday (January 5th) came and went. I celebrated with family, had a good time, was surprised with some of the gifts I had received. And I thought about this year coming up. What I can do to make 25 a turn around year. A year that isn't scary, a year that means something to me more than just "getting older".
January 13th I have a seminar to attend (looking into lap band surgery)
January 20th I start an online class, the last one I need to finish my degree.
February 8th My mother leaves for a week to get married - giving me quality alone time
February 14th my best friend from college will be down in the city for a visit, Seeing her always raises my spirits.
Other plans for this year: with or without surgery losing the 220 lbs that I need too.

Look into a masters program or culinary school
That's about it so far. But as of right now I'm feeling better about 2015, and more confident about being 25
