Some Good Personal 2016 Stuff

I moved out for the first time

I didn’t just move out, I stuffed my little car with everything I could and drove halfway across the country to a new state where I didn’t know anyone

I discovered The Clone Wars animated show

I found the Star Wars fandom

I became active on Tumblr

I discovered I was a grey asexual

I adopted an 8 year-old cat who had already gone through 3 homes and was at risk for being euthanized because she was so shy

I got an apartment

I’m living on my own for the first time in my life

I went from living in the desert for 30 years to living where it rains and snows; I’m still in shock there are trees and this thing called seasons (no, I’m not Rey or Luke, but I could be)

I met awesome people IRL like @captainmazzic because of Star Wars

I completed a 100K+ word Avengers fic from 2015

I started working on my massive Star Wars fanfic project

I wrote two moderately successful rarepair Obi-Wan/Bane fics

I made a bunch of Star Wars AMVs despite having never touched video editing before this year

I was laid off in July and rehired in December, just as I was ready to give up finding a source of income

I fully committed to becoming an author and started outlining my original story

I visited an Oregon farm sanctuary and hung out with lovely sheep, cows, and goats all day

I accidentally created a Star Wars clone-centric blog with a bunch of cool-ass followers

I flew back see my family for the first time since I moved out and watched Rogue One with them for Christmas

I got to watch Rogue One twice

I’ve made the most amazing friends on Tumblr

I’m still alive
