2016 Year of bumpy start
I spent the first 3 months building eng team at my prior employer then I left for my startup. Initially we had over 200 customers signing up for the beta. When we began to monetize and grow, there were little options to go, and the funnel was too small to make a worthwhile business. Two good things came out of it: 1) We went Europe, my first time. It was a breathtaking experience - for cheap too. 2) I met my co-founder through my startup effort and pivoted to her startup. We’re seeing early traction. My prediction is 2017 will be the Year of Growth & Success.
On personal front, my ex and I parted way but we have a daughter. My ex, she has been difficult on many occasions and continue to be a source of frustration and grief. I have to seek legal actions, but more importantly 2017 - I can grow personally, and improve my social life...which is non-existent at the moment.
I have been listening to several audiobooks as a source of inspiration.
