Unfortunately for some of us, 1990 doesn’t feel like long ago. It was a watershed year for the car industry; Lexus was new, so was the Miata.
Honda reveals new NSX-GT Super GT racer

Acura’s new NSX is the basis of Honda’s 2017 entry for the Japanese touring car series known as Super GT, replacing the NSX-GT Concept that Honda has used since 2013.
Alexander Rossi Drives & Shares Thoughts On 2017 Acura NSX
It seems that not even a 707 HP Charger Hellcat can sway Indy 500 winner and F1 reserve driver Alex Rossi from taking the Acura NSX for a spin. When you’ve raced everything from Formula BMW to GP2, GP3, Formula Renault, Le Mans, Formula One and most recently IndyCar, it seems that overall power output isn’t necessarily what strikes you as being interesting. Rossi, with the assistance of Motor Trend’s Carlos Lago, took a cruise in the all-new NSX and gave his thoughts on multiple issues such as Honda power units, the state of the supercar and even hamburgers. Oh, and if you’re wondering what a successful 25-year old race car driver uses as his daily driver, in Rossi’s case, surprisingly, it’s a Honda Pilot, which he actually finds to be a very cool car. It was also surprising to find out that he doesn’t actually own a sports car/supercar that he could take to the track – though if he would buy one at one point, it seems that it would definitely be a McLaren P1 (although he admits to not having driven the 918 or the LaFerrari). Unfortunately for us, he doesn’t really get the chance to put the NSX through its paces and only drives it through traffic at speeds that look pretty much legal. Still, he does manage to say quite a few interesting things about it.

If you’ve ever been to a casino in a major city, you’ll know that they like two things. First and foremost, it’s taking your money. Secondly, it’s displaying cars and high-end goods.
Motor Authority Best Car To Buy Nominee: 2017 Acura NSX
2017 Acura NSX
The 2017 Acura NSX is somewhat controversial. Fans of the original loved the way it challenged the established supercars of the day with a simple mid-mounted V-6 engine and an aluminum architecture. That car could perform on a racetrack and feel like an Accord on the road, while the Ferraris and Lamborghinis of the era beat up their occupants in the name of performance.
Journalist Crashes 2017 Acura / Honda NSX In Taiwan, Blames A Bee [w/Video]
What may very well be the first recorded crash involving the new 2017 Acura NSX (marketed as a Honda outside North America) occurred in Taiwan today, when a man, who is believed to be a journalist conducting a test drive for a local car magazine, hit a road barrier on a highway near New Taipei City. The story gets a little bit strange, as reports coming in from Taiwan state that the 27 year old driver who was identified only by his surname, “Hu”, told police he was driving with his window open when a bee suddenly entered the NSX and stung him on the neck causing him to lose control of the hybrid sports car and smash it on the barrier. No one was injured in the crash. According to Chinatimes, police conducted a sobriety test on the driver, but he came out clean. There’s an ongoing investigation into the accident. The new Honda NSX is worth around 12.8 million NT$, or about US$408,000, in Taiwan, with only nine cars said to be allocated for the country. Thanks to Ray Yi-Jui Chen for the tip!
2017 Acura NSX Is A Jack Of All Trades, Says Consumer Reports
The modern-day NSX is already looking like the type of supercar that will win you over as soon as you get behind the wheel. Some reviewers have even called it a “budget hypercar”, though if you ask the folks over at Consumer Reports to say just how budget-friendly the NSX is, they may give you a completely different take on the matter. Before he started looking at the car’s value, CR’s Mike Monticello praised the way the NSX darts forward once you put your foot down, and was impressed by its grip and how secure you feel behind the wheel even when pushing it to its limits. However, some people do seem to take issue with the car’s video game-like behavior. They argue that it’s not as engaging to drive as the original and that if we’re looking for more of analog feeling, there are probably better alternatives out there. There were other negatives as well, according to CR. For example, they didn’t enjoy the infotainment system – which is something that “annoyed” them in other Acura models as well. Then of course is the price, starting at $157,800. Now, if you recall, we put together this poll back in December, asking you to name your supercar of choice for $160,000 and whether it would be the NSX or not. Aside from most people feeling the urge to live in Ohio, the most popular choices were the McLaren 570S and the 911 Turbo, followed by the NSX and the AMG GT S trailing it by just 17 votes. In other words, it may be a great car, but we’ve yet to see it have the same level of impact, at least culturally, as the current-gen Nissan GT-R did back when the R35 sprung up in 2007.
