Day 24 - Favourite photo(s) of your least favourite tour of Catherine’s

I found it really hard to choose a least favourite tour - I discounted short visits, such as her quick visits to France or Ireland, as well as any UK-based "tours". I was between a few choices, not because I don't like the tours, but because I don't love them: 2014 Australia and New Zealand tour (too long), 2016 Canada (two tours of Canada in 5 years is a lot) and 2017 Poland and Germany. I settled on the latter. There are parts of this tour I love and her Alexander McQueen dress is one of my favourite looks of all time but I didn't get much from this tour. It didn't make me want to visit Poland or Germany. The best part of this tour was the creation of Louis!

4 years ago, on this day (September 13), Johnny attended and was the special guest on Ian Hunter & The Rant Band’s second show on the “2017 West Coast Mini-Tour”, at the Coach House, in San Juan Capistrano, California.

After playing with Ian at the Teragram Ballroom, in Los Angeles, California. Johnny traveled and joined on stage for a second show, again as special guest. Johnny was first spotted enjoying the first 15 songs from the stairs to the second floor of the venue, and joined on stage with his guitar after being presented by Ian. He played guitar in “Bastard” and their cover of The Velvet Underground’s song “Sweet Jane”. Later, he returned on stage to close the show playing “Life and All the Young Dudes”.

At that time, Johnny attended both shows with Ross Halfin after just had returned from Canada after finished filming for “The Professor/Goodbye Richard”, on the end of August 2017.

I think Harry did more shows than Niall this year, right? At least more regions - if you count only true tour shows, and not radio promo shows, etc. Niall's first mini tour seemed to be much more condensed. So it could balance out a bit. Though I agree that it's clear that Harry very consciously carved out "public working periods" and "non-public periods" (working or non-working) and he seems to be much more intentionally separating those than the other guys.

Yeah, Niall has been more US-focused in 2017.  He did 20 dates with 14 of them in N America, 3 in Europe and one each in Australia, Japan & Brazil. Harry did about 30 dates with a more even split between Europe & N America, and the remainder in Singapore, Tokyo, Australia & NZ. 

I like the fact that they’ve each taken very different approaches to their album releases & concert tours that seem personally tailored to them.
