2017 Creations

Fun facts: I’m an art and animation student- most of what I do isn’t really fandom related cause I have a show coming up in April and I’m trying to focus on that. For that reason, I tend to keep it off of tumblr since this is kind of my relaxing space and not my professional space/portfolio site. Maybe once I graduate and have more free time I’ll post more of my work here. I really want to make some ZenYuki stuff- I have so many unfinished sketches of them I haven't had time to work on.

STRANGER THINGS 2 Trailer Study:  I was hecka behind on catching up with Stranger Things- I didn't watch any of it until I went to visit my grandparents in Indiana, which was about the time when I was getting really into creating digital art and the second trailer came out. This was kind of my first attempt at trying to do a through digital study, so it needs a lot of improvement, but not bad for a girl who didn’t know what she it doing. I focused on my undying love for Eleven, and had a lot of fun with it. Girl deserves so much more than what she’s gotten in life. 

Portrait of my Bestie:   I took a traditional, black and white, film photography class Spring semester and this was my favorite photo I took. Photography is so far out of my comfort  zone, but I managed to catch the image of one of my best friends looking like a total goddess. 10/10 would recommend taking a traditional film class if you can. It was really rewarding and enriching even though it had nothing to do with my career goals. 

Study of a Partially Nude Woman:  This was a figure study I did that I sketched into Photoshop and digitally rendered. It was one of my first digital pieces I’ve actually been really proud of. I learned a lot about the process, and I’m kind of obsessed with it. I ended up taking it to CTNX as a portfolio piece, and I got some great feedback and tips when I showed it to other artists. It was nice having a piece I wasn't terrified to show to people.

Musician Turn Around Sheet:  This was my first attempt at experimenting with cel shading in Photoshop and creating a turn around sheet for my own characters. I really want to get into animating my own characters and maybe one day posting videos. I’m really happy with the way that this turned out. I’m hoping to do some expressions sheets of her next and refine the design. 

Octopus Study: Not much to say here- I just really love octopuses and I got  these cool pens that let me do really fine lines. Kind of in love honestly.
