so here’re a few things that i learned by experience and some things that stayed with me (from some posts or books or wherever i saw them that i most likely don’t remember) as i grew up to become more me this year. this is a note to self but feel free to add your stuff
some days are easier than others
there’s always a way
you don’t belong to anyone (your lover, your family, your friend group) because you’re yourself who belongs to yourself
nostalgia is playing you
sometimes alcohol is honestly useless
chill, it won’t matter soon
summer is as boring as you make it
art is a way of survival
we are made of memories
people do change
he’s not worth it
you deserve the love you give to others
writing helps
freud is a bitch
stop keeping every memory and object and turn them into art
books are about words, not covers
forgetting is a blessing
there is no “best book” as there is no best medicine
love is aaaaaall about choices once your tits calm down, which happens eventually
smoking is not cool, it’s a burden
mindset is everything
your brain is ridiculously easy to command once you know how it works, tell it to get better
your hormones are not your feelings, they do change your feelings but they’re not feelings. a feeling is hormones + logic. please listen to your heart’s logic, too
learn languages asap if you wanna learn them, it gets harder to learn every second
sometimes you don’t just “get over it”. sometimes the feelings get milder and milder and milder until they don’t mean anything to you and they get lost in the fog in your mind
it gets better, one way or another
there is never enough time, there never will be, focus on the priorities
don’t worry you’ll get out of there one day
we’re floating on a rock in space which has NO significance like please chill, nothing really matters
aliens are real, believe in them and they’ll believe in you
stop waiting for the weekend
there are no “bad words”, how can words be bad? say as much “shit”, “fuck” as you wish. how you use words is a whole other thing though
it takes $0 to be nice
cliches are not always cringgggge. if you like something then you like it
silence has an enormous power
