Scared to feel.

I’m sorry that I was too scared to feel your love. I was a fool for not trusting you. I kept pushing you away because my fear of hurt was devouring me. Conversations about a future together filled my heart with joy; but I kept denying and pushing you more and more. I am so emotionally fucked up from my past; but I am also terrified by the idea of ending up with an unfixable broken heart. I think it was you, I think it is you; the one that got away, but you’ll never know. You gave me your world while I was too afraid to love. I’m sorry. I broke my heart trying to save it. I broke my heart by breaking yours.

Love in it's clearest view

Since it's almost February I decided to do a "what is love?" Post. Love the purest human emotion and yet that same emotion can be our greatest downfall. It's the emotion that shows how far humanity will go to save something. Will they sacrifice themselves or someone, or will there fear and self preservation get in the way. Think about when Batman had to choose between saving Rachel and Harvey dent. Save the one he loves or save a man who might politically save the city? Love is a beautiful tragedy, it can both be sad and happy. Humanity today has seen first hand what selfish love can do but what can selfless love do? Can it bring peace and love or will there be more destruction? Love in its clearest view is like a double edged sword you never know which side you be struck with.
