Hi!
This is our 3rd song-release, entitled “Water” from the upcoming album, “MASS HYSTERIA!”
Yes, we are a DIY Punk band, but that does not mean our music is restricted or holds any artistic limitations. The main purpose of this project is to be creative, expressive, and to put some good music in the world (especially music I want to hear that I honestly don’t really hear around me anymore).
This song may not appear to be a punk song, but trust me it’s from a punk rock band (albeit a much more subtle and refined flair in this song, keeping a chill, relaxed, and dreamy vibe throughout).
As one can tell, I had used certain effects to create a more atmospheric and elemental appeal to the music (hence, the use of instruments to emulate water and sounds similar to that of water; also while using genuine audio of water/rain/drops, etc). I deliberately took the rhythmic motif in this song and applied it to the bridge of “98″ when I started recording that song (I enjoy the notion of connection between songs throughout an album, or any piece of music that carries a certain melody or signature so-to-speak; kinda like sister songs even though they sound nothing alike - there’s still a connection through that one particular element/melody/rhythm).
This song was one of the very first sound tests I was doing with my computer and I basically wanted to check out if the software was worth a damn. It worked out well, so well that I decided to keep this demonstration (as well as a lot more) and expand upon it into an album.
I do everything in FUGANDHI - It’s my solo project, and I created everything in it (using my guitar/a few other household musician’s items/instruments, our family computer, our bedroom converted into a DIY studio, with no knowledge or technical training in regards to sound engineering/mixing/mastering/etc).
I have been a musician for a long time (playing a variety of instruments), and I have been creative all of my life, and despite my lack of technical expertise (I’m not an engineer or anyone of status in the music community) - I am still very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very passionate about music.
I’m not some rich dude, although I’m not a pauper either. I decided after years and years of working for a living (still to this very day; the struggle is real hahaha), that the time had finally arrived for me to present my music & art to the world (or simply my immediate world I guess) with the help & support of my loved ones.
My name is ATOMIK 1 - but everybody calls me Adam.
