#2018 reverse bang

Illustration I did for this year`s @deancasreversebang! 

It´s Hogwarts professors!deancas with Dean as the Cure of Magic Creatures professor and Cas as the castle Healer! (and oh boy, the pining!) 

My illustration was picked by @puppycastiel (aka youaresunlight on ao3) who wrote a lovely story to go with it, and whom I want to thank for her lovely work! 

I also did chapter headers featuring the bowtruckle, unwilling witness to all the pining. This was really fun to work on, but hell I remember almost crying while I drew the greenhouses!

Dean/Cas Reverse Bang!

The first is the entry that inspired the absolutely awesome fic by teacass. Read Unholy Ground. Read it! This fic took the image in a place I never knew it could go, which is the best thing about collaborating. Thanks for the fantastic experience, teacass!

It takes Castiel three months to find him. Three months of desperation and losing his mind with worry, and then it is Dean's longing that leads him to a run-down shed in the middle of the woods, where he finds Dean imprisoned, shivering and afraid.

And Castiel thinks it will be okay after that, except Dean looks at him as if he's seeing a stranger. Except that Dean cowers from Castiel's touch as if he thinks that Castiel will hurt him.

It's the least of their problems.

Especially when they find themselves in a world where they are the last people left on Earth.
