i hate it when i cant even write a poem about something because its too obvious. like in the airbnb i was at i guess it used to be a kids room cause you could see the imprint of one little glow in the dark star that had been missed and painted over in landlord white. like that's a poem already what's the point

Started watching Star Fleet Academy and I HIGHLY recommend it. Not only did they bring back my favorite character from Discovery they gave her the best wife in the galaxy. I’m so ashamed it took me until this moment to realize they were together.

dean should run a local range radio station out of the bunker actually. it’s illegal and he only plays classic rock. no one can tell where it’s broadcasting from specifically due to handwavey bunker magic. possibly they have a tower of some sort even since there could very well be radio equipment in there. anyway obviously there is no schedule and it becomes kind of a Thing among locals like. did YOU catch the mysterious radio broadcast this afternoon because i did :))) no but i did catch the overnight host this weekend, yeah the one who sounds like he eats gravel recreationally. he played 4 hours of bird calls and rated them.
deans show is pretty normal fare i think it’s like “this is one of my favorites” song “did you know he wrote this song when he was hospitalized?” song song “speaking of burning rubber don’t forget to top off your cars oil. lot of ticking engines at the stoplights in smith center this week” song. he’s got a lot of trivia about rockers just waiting for an outlet and this is perfect. sometimes he plays songs nonstop with no commentary or anything. i think sam is disinterested in the radio schtick but jack has a good time with it. he has a list of songs he’s heard mentioned or referenced and he listens to them in the order of his list with no attention paid to genre or mood or cohesion and after each one he’s like “i think i liked that!” or “huh! i don’t know if i liked that…” cas sometimes entertains himself by broadcasting overnight but sometimes he plays music and sometimes he tells unfunny jokes and sometimes he describes extinct bugs for several hours.
I absolutely love the idea of this.
So I have some facial recognition issues (like once mis-identified my own grandpa) so I’m not the best judge of what actor plays who, but I totally thought that Spock in Discovery was played by a completely different person than Strange New worlds Spock.

This was one of my favorite episodes. It was such a call back to some of my favorite old trek random genre switches. I also loved that Anson Mount was clearly having the time of his life. The costumes for everyone was on point too, particularly Spock 👀
This is what I am talking about. Out of character Spock, ha, he has always smiled throughout all of the series.

I haven't had time to draw lately because I've been busy working on my next Kickstarter! A lot of people asked me about the star projector seen in my last Koi Lantern Kickstarter so I've been working hard on perfecting the design and it's finally ready!

Man I have loved Strange New Worlds from the beginning. The show gives me so much joy. It’s done in the same spirit as TOS. It’s ridiculousness wrapped up with heart wrenching episodes. It’s laughter and tears.
Does it try to be scientifically accurate? Not even a little bit. It’s just as campy and insane as the original just with a better budget.
I keep trying to find a SNW fandom here on tumblr but it seems like the majority of tumblr hates SNW and I can’t figure out why. I see people complain about Spock being out of character, and like does anyone remember him smiling at a butterfly in the first episode of TOS? Of crying while petting a bunny? He was just as slutty in TOS as they protray him now.
So if there are any SNW fans out there, I’d love to find some new people to follow instead on getting depressed in the SNW tag.
