Just a rant about the “Simone Simons racist” saga. Her fans claim that the haters are complaining about Simone because she wouldn’t let anyone hug or touch her, therefore making her a racist. Well if anyone read the original Wordpress that fueled those accusations, the original poster only mentioned that he/she NOTICED Simone acting differently towards the lighter skin fans (I.e. hugging them and taking photos whereas she wasn’t doing that with the darker skin fans.) Honestly, I think that’s a reasonable reaction, especially if you have a no touch policy then it would be expected that you didn’t touch anyone. Being a fan and then seeing you’re getting treated differently has to hurt so I understand where the original poster came from. While I’m not a fan I do think her haters Have gone too far with their hate pages. Most of all, I hate that everyone thinks Latin Americans get offended easily because we can’t touch people. We are, in fact a culture that’s more personable but that’s not to say we don’t respect people or their boundaries.
