#2019GratefulChronicles - I have been unable to breathe for the past few days as my body fights off a cold. My neighbor (not Mr. Rogers) helped out yesterday, but my brain was in a fog. Today, I’m grateful for modern medicine and herbal remedies, teas, and ginger. I’m still fighting and getting better. At least I have some energy today. #2019GratefulChronicles - Today, I’m grateful for second chances to figure things out. I’ve certainly needed my fair share from my parents and a friend or two. I don’t tend to give up on people easily, so I easily give second chances. #2019gratefulchronicles I hit a stumbling block last night. I realized how much a former friend of mine betrayed me. Worse, she chose to do so with information I confided in her that was already particularly painful and that which she did not have the full story. Some people believe that when you stop being friends, secrets are a free for all. I don’t. But, even in my sadness and hurt, it stung far less. Because immediately, I had people asking me in the joking manner, “who do we have to hurt”, people that I love, adore. People that are there for me. I believe that we are who we surround ourselves with... and that I have chosen a lot of wonderful people to surround myself with.
