Drarry microfic: Show me all of the pictures
Draco, sleep-tousled and wrapped in his dressing gown, was watching from the chaise when Harry pulled his face out of the mirror liquid in the Pensieve.
“Which one?”
Harry ducked his chin, caught out. “The Summer Solstice ball, when you and the other kids ran through the Manor gardens. With the floating fairy lights, and the music, and the fountains changing colours.”
“Why do you like them so much?” Draco asked, coming over to slide his fingers into Harry’s hair and kiss his upturned forehead. “My obscenely lavish childhood parties?”
“Because they were beautiful, and you were so happy. I don’t have any memories like that. Mine are all… dark cupboards and red-eyed monsters.”
“You had another nightmare, didn’t you?”
“Yeah.”
Draco siphoned the memory from the Pensieve and returned it to its vial. After a moment’s concentration, he pressed his wand to his temple and drew out the silver wisp of a new memory.
“Our annual Yule party, when I was eight. Mother charmed the ballroom into an evergreen forest, complete with falling snow and the northern lights on the ceiling. Let’s watch this one together,” he said as he laced his fingers with Harry’s, “and then we’ll go back to bed.”
