Values and Rules for the Exchange

This is a safe space for fans and content creators. Everyone involved in this exchange is entitled to respect and kindness. Conflicts happen, because people are people, but when conflict does occur we will work together to solve it in a way that upholds basic dignity and our values.

Our values are as follows:

All people should be treated with respect, even when we disagree with them.

Discrimination against people due to race, sexual orientation, gender presentation, disability, religion, or literally anything else not on this list is wrong.

People who engage in behavior driven by discrimination will be warned once, then removed from the exchange.

All people of traditionally marginalized groups are welcome and special effort will be made to include and lift their voices.

All people are entitled to create content they choose to create.

All people are entitled to choose what content they consume.

As such we have some rules:

This exchange accepts works of any rating as long as they are tagged appropriately. Participating in the exchange means that you understand and accept that.

All content creators must state what they will not draw or write when submitting their offers. No creator will be forced to create content they do not wish to. For this reason, we ask people to be very clear and thorough when filling out their forms.

All content consumers must state what they do not want for people fulfilling their requests. No consumer will be gifted content that has a “do not want” in it. For this reason, we ask people to be very clear and thorough when filling out their forms.

All characters in content created must remain true to their cannon skin color presentation (no white washing). With this in mind, we will accept minor variations in skin tone that does dramatically alter appearance. OC Dwarf characters may have the skin tone of their creators choice.

In addition, all characters who are described as homosexual in cannon must not be featured in heterosexual couplings (ie: Dorian featured with a female character in a romantic relationship.)

This exchange does not accept works featuring pre-pubescent children in sexual situations. We will accept appropriately tagged works featuring adolescents engaged in consensual sexual activity or romance. We will not accept adolescents engaged in non-consensual or dubiously consensual sexual activity.

We accept OCs (Cadash, Aeducan, Brosca) of any gender identity - please indicate if the dwarf protagonist you submit is male, female, a nonbinary gender, or has an alternate gender expression. If the moderators have questions, we will post them and ask you to contact us.

This exchange does accept works that depict non-consensual and dubiously consensual sexual activity but they must be tagged appropriately. This exchange will also accept works dealing with abuse, substance use, and other themes that could be considered problematic. They also must be tagged appropriately.

All conflicts in this exchange that cannot be solved between the conflict participants, or any issues with a request/offer must be brought to the moderators attention.

We ask that works submitted adhere to basic standards of readability in terms of grammar, spelling, and sentence structure. If you need assistance finding a beta, the exchange will gladly assist you!

All works for your assignment must be a finished art piece or a fic of 1,000 or more words. There is no maximum. You may also complete a treat which would be a finished art piece or a fic of any word count but are not required to do so. 

You are obligated to deliver one finished work by the exchange due date. If there is going to be an issue, please contact the moderators.

This exchange is anonymous, please do not post your creation or reveal your recipient until after the creators or revealed, then you may post wherever you like.

Stories and art must be written specifically for this exchange and cannot have been previously created and posted. They cannot be part of a series that is posted. They can feature OCs you have used before, but the work must standalone and be complete.

Moderators have the final ability to ask any person to leave the exchange for violating these rules or our values.

- if you need an exception to write one, say someone recovering from an abusive relationship and the ship is only past or something to that effect contact us so we know it's coming.

We will grant no exceptions for underage ships nor incestious ships (counts Thorki too).

If we haven't been contacted a warning will still be issued as soon as per the rules. (See sactions post below).

Rules for Star Spangled Bingo 2020

Purpose of the bingo

The focal characters of this bingo are the three Caps (Steve, Bucky, and Sam). 

- You don’t have to choose one for the entire bingo. You can do one for Steve and the ten for Sam and the rest for Bucky or any combo thereof. You can also only write for two of them or one of them for the entire card. 

- You can pair them however you want - with each other, a reader, an OC or a different character from the MCU or entirely other fandom. You can also write a general fic

- No matter how you chose to pair them the focus must stay on one of the three Caps. So if you write fx. Winterwidow focus still has to be on Bucky over Nat - or you can write a general fic as long as the focal character is fx Sam. 

- The pairing involving one of the three has to be the main pairing. You can’t write Tony x Reader and have Stucky as a side pairing.

- Even if we describe them as the three Caps it’s up to you if Steve, Sam or Bucky hold the mantle in the fic/artwork. Fx. you can have Steve be Cap but still write a Bucky x Reader fic. Or you can write a Sam x OC and have no cap present at all. The focus is on the characters above the mantle.

- You’re fic also doesn't have to be canon-compliant. You can write an AU if you want or you can make it as close to the MCU or comics as you choose.

What you have to do

- Sign up - sign-ups for 2020 are open November 8th, 2019 to December 11th,  December 20th, 2019 - We will open too late sign-ups over the summer if you missed the window - See important dates.

- Your submissions must be open to pictures on your chosen Tumblr otherwise we won’t be able to send you your card and we will for normal signups send out cards between Dec 12th - Dec 22nd, 2019 Dec 20th - Dec 28th, 2019 - if you haven’t received your card let us know.

- You can get up to five squares changed or a new card - you can only do this for your first card and only once. 

- You can ask for a second card once you have filled the first and a third when you filled the second - More information on that here.  

- You can write as many or as few squares as you would like. There are no scorecards but the one you may or may not choose to keep yourself. 

- You can start posting for the bingo Jan 1st and final day to post for this round and have it count towards a badge is December 31st, 2020.

- Last day to submit your masterlist for reblog/badge January 15th, 2021.

What do you get

- A card is 5x5 with one free space. You can ask to get up to 5 squares changed. More than that and you’ll have to ask for a new card. You can get changes once or a new card once. Not both or multiple times. You ask for changes via submit by submitting your card via photos to our blog and telling us which squares you want changed - same goes if you want an entirely new card. You still have to submit the old back to us (that way any of the admins can work on your remake, not just the one that created it for you). 

- If you fill out a card we will create a badge for you. You can fill up to 3 cards per round and get up to three badges. Read more on submission of masterlists for badge here. 

- A lot of prompts to play and have fun with under very few restrictions. 

Restrictions

- No abusive ships are allowed. Some ships like Winteriron can be abusive if you focus on the negative but can also be based on healing, therefor they are a grey zone and fall under think about what you write, if you chose a pairing such as that one. Shipping Bucky with Rumlow will always be abusive and as a rule no villians shipped with heroes allowed. (Loki might be an exception cause he is a grey character, just think before you write with him too).

-No pairing an adult with an underage character. No aging up or down. This goes for side pairings as well so no Starker!

- No incest - that goes for Thorki as a sidepairing as well. Adopted or not they grew up as brothers.

- No non/dub con are allowed either.

- You can’t write smut if you are under the age of 18. If we catch you doing so you will be blocked from the bingo page and banned for participating.

- You can't write smut if you are under 18. Everyone can write fluff, angst, crack, etc.

Formats and requirements

- Fics must state what square you fill, warnings, word count and pairing - if no pairing just write general (check the format page for ideas on how to format your post)

- Social Media AUs, Aesthetics, Edits, Fanart, Fanvids, podfics must have square filled, pairing and if needed warnings. 

- Everything you post as a fill must be original and new content - or if you read someone's fic as a podfic explicit consent from the author must have been given and they have to be credited on your post. 

- Fics must have a minimum of 250 words - fics over 500 must have a keep reading to be reblogged. 

- Use common sense for when posting artworks into long posts. They might need a cut too.

- Aesthetics have a 4 picture minimum and preferably accompanied by a 100-word description or drabble - words are not a must

- Gifsets has a 6 picture minimum.

- One piece of fanart in form of a drawing by hand or a computer program is considered a fill. 

- Social media Aus must be a min of 6 pictures. 

- Podfics must be a min of 3 min.

- Fanvids must be a min of 30 sec. 

- All content can be added via link not to an original Tumblr post if you so choose as long as there is a Tumblr post with the format requirements we can reblog and the Tumblr post must be linked too on the masterlist you create when your card is filled. 

- IF WE FORGOT YOUR TYPE OF ARTWORK SEND US AN ASK AND WE MIGHT BE ABLE TO WORK SOMETHING OUT - we are pretty open to all types of creative outlets but it’s hard to put restrictions of stuff we don’t know or know very little about.

- One square per fic/artwork. If you write a series each chapter can be considered a fill or the entire series can be a fill if you so choose. No combining squares within the bingo.

- You are free to combine our bingo with another bingo with no additional requirements added from our end. Just make sure you follow the other bingos rules too. 

- Warn accordingly. If warnings are spoilers put them in the tags and tell people to check your tags for additional warnings on the post.

- You don’t have to use the same media for the entire card. You can have 3 fics and 1 vid and the rest fics fx.

- Tag us @star-spangled-bingo and make clear the fic is for SSB 2020 and use the #SSB2020 (in one word) on each square you fill.

Sanctions for breaking the rules

- If your post lacks a keep reading we won’t reblog it but it will still count as a fill.

- If you don’t tag us we can’t reblog you and if you don’t say it’s for SSB2020 in your header we won’t count it as a fill until you edited it into the post. This seems strict but we got 2019 floating and it is impossible to know which card what is for if you don’t mark it down for us. 

- If your fill fail to meet the minimum requirements your fill will be reblogged but won’t count as a fill unless you add to it to meet the minimum. 

- If your post doesn’t clearly show square filled, we won’t reblog it and it won’t count as a fill until you edited it in. 

- If we discover you write smut and are under 18 - you will be blocked from the bingo blog and banned from participating in the bingo in the future even when you reach the age of 18. 

- If you break this rule: No abusive ships are allowed. No pairing an adult with an underage character. No aging up or down. No incest and no glorification of non/dub con are allowed either. All of these go for side pairing also so no Thorki and Starker. Your post won’t count as a fill, nor will it be reblogged. You’ll get a reminder of our rules the first time you break it and the second you will be banned from the bingo.
