The midnight list (2018) 10.3K words, Lorirose

Robert and Aaron have been back together for a couple of months when Aaron comes across a notebook… a notebook of lists made by Robert showing that he is still even now struggling with his personal insecurities and self-loathing. Aaron also learns Liv herself has seen Robert not being in a good frame of mind. Will Aaron be able to help his husband realize he is worth it and allow him to be there for HIM for a change? This reminded me how Robert’s self-loathing/self-worth issues were literally ignored by the show after their 2nd reunion.

Robert is the landlord at Home Farm and Aaron is a farmer on its lands who is behind on his rents (his dad recently dead and now he is man of the house). He’s all set to intimidate the farmer he’s never met until he comes across him on the road as Aaron helps him with a broken carriage wheel. The interest is automatic and soon enough they embark on a forbidden affair for that time which could lead to imprisonment or, far worse, death. How long can they continue until they are found out and will they be able to stop seeing each other even then?

Is there no hope of the little family reuniting after all? There’s also a surprising twist about a baby soon to be born.

To protect Aaron, Robert moves in to the pub as his boyfriend while working to drive the vile one away once and for all. Will they succeed and will Robert and Aaron become real boyfriends rather than it being a ruse?

A slight variation of Reunion 2 taking place outside the bar with rain starting to fall as Robert finds it difficult to comprehend that Aaron wants him back.

Will Robert come clean with Aaron about who he is before things get more serious between them or decide to end things altogether?

Met a Boy in a Bar, Went to His Hotel Room (2016) 35.6K words, Diary

As the title suggests, Robert and Aaron meet in a bar and winds up on the sofa of Robert’s hotel room. On another trip, they run into each other and begin a casual thing with Robert (who just happens to be from the village but agrees to stay quiet) as his priority is taking care of this sister Liv and keeping her away from their dad.

She makes her three choices for her son to question and choose from but the unexpected happens courtesy of Chas. Yes, miracles can happen (but only in AUs, mind you 😂).
