On this day, one year ago...

The first meal I had in Japan was a handful of fries from a fast food place at Haneda airport :') I was so tired, and not really that hungry because I was still feeling fragile after feeling ill on the flight, but I knew I needed to eat something. The first real meal I had was when I met up with Cornelia in Osaka and we went to this restaurant that even required you to take your shoes off before entering the dining area.

I think I had some fried chicken and rice. Not exactly traditional delicacy, but at least it was something :)

When I arrived in Osaka after that LONG journey, I met this young married couple who new a bit of English and they helped me navigate the Osaka underground. They even took me to what station I needed to change at. I don’t even think they were going that direction but they said they were. They were very kind and helpful, and after such a long journey it was exactly the welcome into Japan I needed :)
