Fourth of July protest against ICE down in LA
This is the first ever protest I ever went to. And I am proud to have been there. For the most part no one got hurt (thank God) and everyone was peacefully protesting like they always do.
There were some times where it got scary like in front of the detention center when police officers and people in military uniforms started backing people up but the people protesting kept being peaceful and making a stance. I truthfully was scared. But I know people died and sacrificed so much for me to have what I have today. So it would have been a shame if I didn't.
I hope the innocent people in the detention center heard our protest and knew that they weren't alone and we are fighting for them.
Everyone please stay strong and stand up for what's right. Don't let them feel alone and forgotten.
Protest Week
By Andrea Menzies Lots of action online with the protest week for No Kings Day. Many people are out and about normally not the type to protest. My group cancelled, and I am going to find a new group to join for the next set.
There’s a boycott happening tomorrow! Feb. 28! Don’t buy anything tomorrow! Unless it’s local business! So if you need something get it now!
