He sent in his resignation letter, I believe it is still to be approved but honestly it is a win.

The pressure worked.

However, he is still to take accountability.

And no mention of the brutality of the police against the students.

It feels as if he is trying to jump off the ship before it sinks but still trying to keep his ego intact.

We deserve better.

Today was a win but don't let it blind you from the lack of accountability.

Take it but demand more.

We still have more things that require our attention.

The violence in Manipur, fair compensation for families being displaced in Karnataka, the shivalik demolition, the farmers protest...

thank you so much for speaking up, we truly need this. i'm so glad our generation is actively participating in the protest as much as possible. i couldn't go to jantar mantar, so i did as much as i could from where i live. cjp supporter or not, you have to agree that they're doing smth no other party could.

i'm glad you're doing your best. we all are. all non delhi/jantar mantar residents speaking up online and protesting in their own areas is genuinely really empowering to see. moreover, cjp might have its flaws but right now we need their help for our voices to reach the parliament. being neutral is not an option right now. speak up as much as you can. privilege is ephemeral.

i’m sorry for taking a bit to respond to this ask, i wanted to understand the situation as best as i could, i apologize completely if i did not understand certain parts, i’ll try my best

but essentially, there was a leak of the NEET exam which is the entrance exam for medical school

students work their whole lives attempting to make it into medical school and to know that this exam was leaked is so horrible

an exam that determines someone’s future just simply discarded because it was leaked for money, monetary gain destroying the hard work of so many students

work and dedication just gone and nullified because of the own education system’s fault

this has caused several tragic suicides, peoples futures being destroyed in front of them

not only that, but peaceful protests following this to get the minister of education to resign were met by sheer police brutality

tear gas, batoning, beating innocent people even including children

this is beyond disgusting that even peaceful protests are met by violence

whether you’re from india or not, please take some minutes just to research, listen to students in india, and continue to spread awareness

to anyone and everyone in india who is being affected by this, i am so sorry, i truly hope you get the justice and accountability you deserve

Reminder: The Only Meaningful way to celebrate July 4th this year is by protesting and opposing the Regime.

Anything else is to make a mockery of the day and anything worthwhile it ever stood for, just as Tr*mp is doing.

As usual, I will be protesting outside the local US customs office (the only US govt. building I know of around here, as I currently live in Canada).

I encourage others to protest as well. Keep it peaceful- don't give them an excuse for a crackdown. Think strategically. A big protest is an impressive visual, attention-grabbing and a powerful display of solidarity. However, its been said that numerous spread out small protests may be harder for law enforcement to contain or crack down than one big one.
