He’s the first tiger of my Tiger Hunt! Also a trendsetter, because now I plan to name all my future tigers after board games as well lol. I’m looking forward to accessorizing him. Definitely need to get my hands on some wooden beads to really fit his theme.

2026 TIGER HUNT | Log #1

I can’t imagine I’ll keep this going for long lol but I will do my best!

So, when I, the deranged glutton for punishment, found out that there are several versions of the Jellycat Bashful Tiger — I decided I must have them all. Tigers are my favorite big cat and I already have a Whumper Tiger I love, so it only makes sense right? Or so I tell myself.

Today, I took the first step toward completing this hunt! I was lucky enough to win the bid for an adorkable Bashful Tiger — the most recent iteration of it. 2024, I believe, but my sources are weak. With the winter storms affecting a good chunk of the US, who knows when he’ll make it home. I just hope he gets here safely!

Overall, I’m curious to see how long this hunt takes. While most Bashful Tigers aren’t overly expensive like most other Jellycats, I’m a bit strapped for cash at the moment (several, sudden vet appointments and the holidays will do that to a guy), and I’m saving for the release of Ascended Heroes next month, so this isn’t like top priority, but I thought it would be fun to document this silly little journey of mine!
