I won the Open 20k at the 50k Olympic trials in a time of 1:26:35. It's the fastest time I've ever walked. In miles talk, it's an Average of 6:58/mile for 12.4 miles. With the new Olympic Qualifying System, if you dont have the super standard of 1:21:00, then your mission is based on collecting points. Your top 3 race performances within the qualifying window will be averaged together and then the amount of points you have at the end of the window need to rank you within the top 60 in the world. That's how you make the Olympics this year. Time will tell, but this might just be 1/3 of the races that I needed. Since my season started, I have been trying my best to simply try my best and, I just want to say thank you for all the support and love you have all been showing me through messages and comments and in person. This is a great start to the season, and there's more work to be done. And I believe I have a lot left in the gas tank. So let's do it!
