I had a very busy day yesterday and did not get out for my long run. I was up and about early this morning so I headed out and ran pretty much the same trails as last week. Rain was forecast for lunchtime but instead it just got hotter and sunnier as I trotted along. I am really keen to run the trail to the Waimak mouth. I will have to look into it, four hours walking seems a lot, I didn't think it was that far away. Anyway I will let you know when I run it for sure.

I wasn't going to do my long run today but then I went out to hang some washing on the line and found that it was a lovely morning. I couldn't resist. I ran about in the forest for a couple of hours and headed for home down the coastal track. The sand was too soft for running on today. Despite putting on lashings of sunscreen before I left I still got a little burnt. Summer may have finally arrived down here at the bottom of the world.
