My Saving Grace
The smell of insulin greets me each time I prep my pen. Reminding me that this life was almost taken from me, but that it was also saved. It was saved by this precious clear liquid my body no longer makes. I would have faded away without the doses of synthetic insulin I give myself everyday. If anything in this world is my saving grace it is insulin. 💉
